The Batzella vineyard and winery are located on the central coast of Tuscany, a few kilometers from the medieval village of Bolgheri. The estate is a family-run operation created in 2000 by Khanh Nguyen and Franco Batzella.
Their objective is to make wines that are elegant and have their own personality while exalting the character of the local terroir, achieved through an utmost respect of what each varietal and vineyard parcel can offer, with a minimal intervention management approach. A great contribution to this endeavor is the setting of the place. The Bolgheri zone is an enchanting area surrounded by rolling hills and the Tyrrhenian sea. Its land and special climate of cold nights and hot days cooled by the sea breezes enable optimum maturation of the Bordeaux varietals which can offer here wines that can be highly original and personal in character.
